- Students will study two core modules that lay the foundations of the course, exploring theoretical approaches to communication and media. One of these will consider issues such as de-westernising media and communication studies, interpersonal communication, media and power and the concept of the public sphere. they will then use these theories to take a critical approach to real-world issues, as well as developing your own perspectives on topics that interest you.
- On top of this, students will build specialist knowledge through their choice of optional modules. These can include topics such as feminism, identity and media, media and globalisation, promotional media and media production analysis. The optional modules allow them to focus on topics that suit their own interests or perhaps reflect their career aspirations.
- Throughout the course, students will prepare for their dissertation through the Dissertation and Research Methods module.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:

A bachelor's degree with a 2:1 (Hons) in one of the following: history, literature, philosophy, or a (theory-focused) media-related course.
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation in history, literature, philosophy, or a (theory-focused) media-related course with 60% from a recognized institutions.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
Required Document List

- Resume/CV: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and volunteer experience.
- Transcripts: Students must submit a copy of their degree certificate and transcript, or a partial transcript if they are still studying.
- Statement of marks - The marks statement provided by the education board.
- Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
- Personal Statement - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying in a minimum of 250 words.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.
