- Psychology is an exciting, dynamic field that is broadly concerned with the scientific study of mental life and human behaviour: how people think, feel and behave as individuals and how they interact in groups. It will give students a deep understanding of the key subject areas and specialisms within psychology, including biological, cognitive, developmental and social psychology.
- A key feature of this course is its pathways, which enable students to specialise in their final year, choosing from psychology, psychology with neuroscience, psychology with child development, or psychology in practice.
- College are renowned for their research in neuroscience, cognition, developmental science - and the links between them. College research informs real-world policy and practice and is at the forefront of breakthroughs in understanding of conditions such as autism and ADHD. College also offer excellent research laboratories and facilities, for both general and specialist use.
- This Psychology degree at Birkbeck, University of London will teach students how to engage critically with psychological literature, identify problems and formulate research questions and hypotheses, find appropriate methods for collecting and analysing data, and draw conclusions and integrate findings. Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed higher secondary/all India senior school/higher school/intermediate certificate
- Students should have minimum grades between 60 to 80% depending on the board of completion
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
- PTE: minimum 62
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in ibt

- Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores and Successful applicants typically provide a score in the 50th percentile.
- Transcripts: Official transcripts from all educational institutions students have attended.

The visa students apply for varies according to the length of students course:
- Courses of more than six months' duration: Student visa
- Courses of less than six months' duration: Standard Visitor visa
International students who require a Student visa should apply for their full-time courses as these qualify for Student visa sponsorship. If students are living in the UK on a Student visa, they will not be eligible to enrol as a student on Birkbeck's part-time courses (with the exception of some modules).
