  • This program is unique in that it offers its own research, design, and creative practice modules throughout. This will allow students to develop a wide range of practical and research skills. Other distinct features include its emphasis upon activity-based learning, supported by study visits and field trips.
  • There is an emphasis in this program on the constant production of small assignments for seminars/tutorials, which will build up to a larger portfolio. 
  • There is also an emphasis on group critiques where students will learn to explain their work, listen to feedback and evaluate it as well. 
  • This program provides a one-year study abroad at different universities and then will return to UCL for the final year.
  • Upon successful completion of 360 credits, students will be awarded a BSc (Hons) in Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies with a Year Abroad.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students should have an AAB grade level from a recognized university. No specific subjects. Comprehensive portfolio of creative work required upon invitation, at application stage. At least two A-level subjects should be taken from UCL's list of preferred A-level subjects.
  • GCSEs: English Language and Mathematics at grade C or 5.
  • Students must have 36 IB scores,17 points in three higher level subjects, with no score lower than 5. No specific subjects are required but a comprehensive portfolio of creative work is required upon invitation, at the application stage.
  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 

Indian Students Eligibility:

  • Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's Degree at an Indian university recognized by UCL, with an average grade equivalent to UK Upper Second Class. 
  • The Year 12/Standard 12 Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE or CBSE with five subjects at 90, 90, 90, 85, 85.

VISA & Work Study

  • Visa nationals and non-visa nationals whose program of study lasts for more than six months must not attempt to travel to the UK without a valid student visa.
  • Student can apply for a student visa to study in the UK if he/she is 16 or over.
  • The student should have offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor and should have enough money to support him/her and pay for his/her course - the amount will vary depending on their circumstances.
  • Should speak, read, write and understand English and have consent from their parents if they‘re 16 or 17 - need evidence of this when applying.
