Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
  • Students should have a minimum of 2:2 Honours degree in either a course accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences in forensic science, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, or, forensic investigation.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

  • Visa nationals and non-visa nationals whose program of study lasts for more than six months must not attempt to travel to the UK without a valid student visa.

  • The student should have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor and should have enough money to support him/her and pay for his/her course - the amount will vary depending on the student’s circumstances.

  • There are many exciting employment opportunities in the analytical and forensic science sectors. Key recruitment areas are DNA profiling, analytical chemistry, and toxicological analysis. In these competitive fields, a postgraduate qualification will really make students stand out from the crowd. Major national companies regularly contact the University specifically asking for college MSc Analytical and Forensic Science graduates to apply for positions with them.

The course syllabus is up to date and relevant to my course they cover every aspect of the course. I still haven't had an opportunity to gain industrial exposure but it is included in the course a little later.
