Gain a sound understanding of nutrition and public health that balances a relevant theoretical education and work-related, practical education. Upon graduation you have direct entry onto the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists.

You are encouraged to gain work experience and develop professional skills to build your professional portfolio. You are supported in this particularly in the second year 'Professional Development for Nutritionists' module, and there are also opportunities through the Students' Union and the Careers and Employability Service. Employability is embedded in a number of modules, and practical assessment tasks often replicate real life scenarios. You may also undertake summer internships in a variety of settings.

You automatically become a member of our award-winning Food and Nutrition Society, where you can meet other students, alumni and industry experts with a passion for food. There are also opportunities to gain the perspectives of external speakers with specialist expertise during guest lectures.
