Distinctive features of this course
As a Joint Honours degree student you will study both subjects equally offering you a wide choice of options within subjects. You will be able to begin the language from scratch and explore some of the oldest and deepest questions that the human mind has raised. There are a number of specialist topics for you to choose from including a wide range of authors, literary genres and cultural themes from the Republic to Late Antiquity, differentiating truth from falsehood, the relation of the mind to the body, the existence of God and the illusion of freedom. You develop critical and analytical skills and constructing arguments under the tutelage of staff that are at the forefront of research in various fields. It may be possible to spend a semester or year studying abroad as part of this degree programme.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a minimum of a second class honours degree or equivalent.
- Applicants without the formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL or PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete their bachelors degree from a recognized university.
- Students must complete their graduation with 50% from Tier 1 College/ University
(namely University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi) or graduating with 55% from a Tier 2 College/University.
