The college offers admissions through both GATE and non-GATE criteria, known as level 1 and level 2 admissions. Non-GATE students must pass the college's entrance exams, while JEE and MHT-CET scores are also considered. An MHT-CET score of 98-100 or a JEE score of 92-100 is needed for admission. The fee for all M.Tech courses is about 70,000 rupees, with hostel and mess fees adding another 54,000 rupees per year. GATE-qualified students get a monthly fellowship of 12,400 rupees. Maharashtra students may be eligible for full tuition scholarships, while the general fee at ICT is 85,500 rupees. Scholarships from the Maharashtra government and ONGC are available. The college has a strong placement rate of 96%, with top companies like Aditya Birla, Saint Gobain, JSW, Pidilite, and ExxonMobil recruiting, especially benefiting chemical engineering students. HPCL and BPCL also hire from the college. While polymer, pharma, and food sectors offer favorable placements, opportunities in fibers, textiles, edible oils, and dye stuff are less promising. Internships are not currently part of the curriculum due to the COVID-19 pandemic, although they were previously supported by the college for six months.
