Applicants should have valid CAT score, with 50% aggregate marks during graduation |
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-NC (Non-Creamy) and PwD candidates has been made according to the rules of Govt of India.
- 15% of the seats for Scheduled Caste (SC)
- 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe candidates
- 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates
- 10% for students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
- 5% for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
IIM Shillong PGP Selection Criteria
The selection for PGP courses of IIM Shillong will be done in two rounds. In round 1, candidates are shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In round 2, a merit list will be prepared for final admissions to PGP 2024-26 batch.

- The selection criteria for the first round takes into consideration of the number of candidates applied for IIM shillong, category wise, and their performance in CAT 2023.
- A normalised score is calculated and based on its ranking, the list of candidates are called to IIM Shillong for round 2.
- Round 2 comprises of the final rounds of selection, i.e GD and PI.
- Post the GD and PI process, the scores of GD and PI will be used along with overall CAT performance of the shortlisted candidates for preparation of the final merit list.

The calculation of the normalised scores of each round can be understood from the normalisation selection criteria of IIM Shillong.
- If selected, candidates will be called for Writing & Verbal Skills Assessment Test, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (PI).
- Shortlisted candidates will be asked to take their interviews through video conferencing on the date intimated to them beforehand.
- Selected candidates would be offered admission tentatively by mid of May.
- The candidates will have to register for the programme at IIM Shillong campus around the third to fourth week of June.
IIM Shillong PGP How to Apply?
All those who want to take admission in PGP program need to register through CAT 2023.
Documents required
- Scanned passport size photograph of the candidate in JPG/JPEG format (size maximum 80 kbs)
- Scanned clear signature of the candidate in JPG/JPEG format (size of minimum 150 pixels.)
- Scanned copies of self attested Category certificate(SC, ST, OBC, PwD certificate), if applicable
- A valid e-mail ID
- A printer connected to your system to print confirmation page
How to apply?
- Register at the official website of CAT 2023 and create candidate’s login ID and password.
- Enter your personal, educational and work experience at required fields, as required.
- Upload the scanned photograph, signature and category certificates
- Pay the application fee online at the ‘Make Payment’ tab
- Application Fee for the exam is INR 1900.
- Save the application form.
- Once the application filling gets over, submit the application form and take a hard copy printout for future reference. Also record your login credentials for future reference.
- For overseas candidate, the application form has to be downloaded from the IIM Shillong’s official website.
- The application form needs to be filled in and must be e?mailed to the admissions mail id in as an attachment.
- Thereafter, the applicant has to take a print of the filled in application form, put his/her signature on the proper place, and send it to the following address along with the necessary enclosures to,

The completed application must have the following documents as enclosures:
- Self Attested Photocopy of the mark sheet of the Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- A letter from the concerned institute stating “the conversion formula” (converting the grades to percentage) or “having no conversion formula” in case the institute follows a different grading system other than percentage.
- A Demand Draft of US $ 150 (non-refundable), drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Management Shillong" and payable at Shillong as application processing fee.
