Students will gain a foundational understanding of the major features of each of these systems and the interrelations between them through lecture, laboratory and field studies. The program provides a very broad-based science education, preparing students for a wide variety of careers in the private and government sectors including the fields of environmental science, mining and petroleum industries, and resource management. It also provides an excellent foundation for students interested in continuing their education with graduate work in the sciences.
Students may also complete courses required for secondary teaching certification.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts that show high school completion or equivalent
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or equivalent for admissions consideration
- Some applicants will have to provide a course by course evaluation of the transcripts by an evaluation agency like WES
- SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT; 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 5.5 with 5.0 in each band
- PTE: minimum 44
- Duolingo: minimum 90
- SAT: minimum 450 in evidence based reading and writing
- ACT: minimum 18 in English
