The Sport Communications Major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.

Students in the Sport Communications major gain valuable skills and hands-on experience in journalistic reporting about sports, sports public relations campaigns, and social media outreach for sports teams, as well as in working with specialty sports agencies and planning sports events for organizations.
Lasell offers a Fifth Year option to students so they can complete both their bachelor's degree and a Master's of Science in Communication in as little as five years.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

High School transcript (including 1st marking period senior year grades)
Personal statement or essay on a topic of own choice (250 word minimum)
1 letter or form of recommendation (must be from an academic teacher or counselor)
SAT/ACT scores (optional) Lasell University has a Test-Optional Policy. If the applicants believe on their standardized tests support their candidacy, Applicants are encouraged to submit their scores (CEEB code: 3481).
