Our? program, which is a non-dietetics track major, is grounded in the sciences and will help you not just understand nutrition, but be able to communicate what you?ve learned to others.?
The major will prepare you for your choice of graduate programs in nutritional sciences and dietetics, or employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors, including in the areas of community nutrition, corporate or public health, wellness, food service management, nutrition education, research, and sales.?
Careers and Internships
As a graduate of our nutritional sciences major, you?ll be ready to take those next steps in your career. Many students decide to attend graduate school to further their studies in the nutritional sciences or other health-related fields, while others opt to start their careers by seeking employment in industries such as health and wellness, education, research, government, sport performance, and more. For graduates who wish to become dieticians or nutritionists, additional state licensure or certification may be required.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts from secondary or high school with proof of graduation
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by any member of the NACES
- Applicant must have completed following coursework: 4 years of English, 3 years of Maths, 2 years of History or Social science, 3 years of lab science, 2 consecutive years of foreign language
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit one academic recommendation
- Submit one personal statement about yourself
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 69 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
