Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Chemistry Education)
Field of Study:
₹30 L/Yr
With a Chemistry Education curriculum built around in-depth chemistry studies and practical teaching coursework, Taylor will give its Chemistry Education majors a robust education that culminates in a career teaching chemistry at the middle or high school level.
Students in Taylor’s undergraduate Chemistry Education program build a well-rounded foundation of analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry and biochemistry in their chemistry classes. Education classes focus on optimizing lessons for future students’ psychological needs and development, discipline and classroom management in secondary school settings, and ways to approach assessment. Students learn how to make chemistry accessible and understandable to those who are not scientifically minded and learn the best practices for using chemistry equipment in the laboratories.
Every Chemistry Education major puts his or her education into practice by spending a semester teaching chemistry to real students in two different grade levels at two different schools.
