English Proficiency Requirements

Visa Requirements
International students need to apply for an F-1 student visa to be able to travel to the USA for studies. Accepted students need to complete the enrollment process and request the college to issue the I-20 form required to apply for a student visa.
Students need to submit the financial documents in form of official bank statements or a letter from the bank which reflects a balance to cover the tuition, living, food expenses, etc. while staying in the USA. The I-20 form is then issued by the college to be used for the F-1 student visa. Students can contact the US Embassy in their home country regarding any details on the visa.

The Smeal School of Business takes a holistic approach towards applicants. GPA plays the most important role, so candidates are required to start preparing right from school. All applications are reviewed by both the Penn State Smeal MOL Program Admissions Office and the Penn State Graduate School. Admission is granted first by the Smeal Program and then by the Penn State Graduate School. The Graduate School does not act on the application without a recommendation from the MOL Admissions Office.
