The co-op program! Our co-op program is world class. Students get placed into top 500 companies and get paid well. They can also work anywhere in the domestic United States or internationally. You work for 6 months full time instead of going to classes.
Course Curriculum
It's a fast-paced. Compared to other colleges, our schedule is quite crazy. It's difficult but the challenge is good. College is not overall easy, but I think the program and fast-pace are worth it because I know my future is going to be great.
Exams
SAT and ACT, I only included my SAT score. It was optional for my other scores. I did not take any other exams.
Placement
There are tons of opportunities for students all over the country and all over the globe. Students can choose from domestic and international co-op opportunities with famous companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Goldman Sachs.
Internship
Yes, the co-op program! This is a 6-month full time paid internship. I am on my first one with one of the largest hospitals in the country, Jefferson health as an IT analyst. It's absolutely crazy to have no experience and jump into this well-paid position.
Events
We have a lot of different events on and off-campus. It's usually organized by our Campus Activities Board or CAB. They host anything from Puppy Pawlooza to Dragonfly, our annual fall concert. These events are always free and really fun.
Fees
Drexel is a private institution. The tuition is the same for everyone.
Scholarship
I do have financial aid. I take anything I can get honestly. I take advantage of my academic scholarships and federal assistance and work-study funds. The fewer loans, the better!
Examination Structure
We have midterms and finals. Some classes are different and will have multiple exams with a different weight to the grade. Because of the fast-pace, it could be difficult. However, if you stay focused and motivated, you can do it just like at any other college.
Faculty
They have the highest degrees in their fields. Personally, the faculty I have had have been great with the exception of my math professor.
Hostel
University Housing was quite small and extremely overpriced. Drexel has a two-year living requirement. The first year is in the dorm and the second year is in an apartment. It's nice because it gradually introduces you to living on your own and having responsibilities.
