Industrial Design is ranked number 1 at Georgia Tech. They have an amazing invention studio and faculty.
Course Curriculum
It's a lot depending on the class I guess. I've always taken around 16 credits which is probably why I'm always working also ID has a lot of projects which require long hours in the studio. The thing I love about GT is that they use a lot of hands-on learning and cover a lot of different topics and educate you overall in their courses. We have a lot of videos and very few textbooks least for all the classes I've taken so far. Even like in coding- we had to code AmongUs for the last HW which was more fun than just writing lengthy codes for things we don't relate to or solving questions from a textbook.
Exams
ACT-31-34/36 and SAT-1390-1540/1600. The average G.P.A is 3.95. My scores were: 34 ACT and 1440 SAT. AP's -5/5 in Calculus and 4/5 in Physics. SAT subjects Math 1 and 2-800/800 and Physics 740/800 I think.
Placement
I don't have much idea about this. I haven't applied abroad, but my friends who have really liked it and said it was really fun.
Scholarship
No, I didn't receive any scholarship.
Faculty
The faculty is very talented I would say. Most of the professors I've had own good companies and have worked with big companies such as Apple, etc in the past. They're also very helpful and give very useful advice and tips.
Hostel
No, I live off campus. I lived on campus freshman year, it was okay, people were nice but the communal bathrooms were horrible, and the rooms are pretty small for 2 people to share. Not very comfortable."
