It was near my house when I moved to Livermore and then will transfer to CSU East Bay. But waiting for them to give me an answer. I used to go to Ohlone college but not anymore. The CSU that I'm planning to go to soon is more well known that the other CSU that I wanted to go to. The admission process was easy for me when I applied to the CSU.
Course Curriculum
It's good.
Exams
I'm not sure. I just know that my SAT scores were bad and decided to go to the community college first then transfer. I chose my major as psychology and then took classes towards that on top of my general education classes too. With my bad SAT scores, I applied to Menlo college to see if a school will accept me regardless and they did. But decided to go to a community college first because it's cheaper.
Placement
I'm not so sure about that but the school has this website and I signed up for it to see all the jobs that are for my degree because I can choose. They need at least a master's degree for certain jobs but the minimum is a bachelor's degree.
Internship
I think my school does have an opportunity because they have internships and jobs fair once a month or something like that. I couldn't work on campus because I didn't get my F1 status until later and didn't have enough hours to give when I got my visa.
Events
I don't go to those events in school or participate. Only sometimes. Like the market and the first few days, they had a booth for students to get some of their questions answered.
Fees
It is expensive for international students and from what I know, the scholarships need to be merit-based. My parents pay a lot for my education and I need to always take a minimum of 12 units and one online class to be able to keep my status. I can handle the classes but sometimes it is hard that you can work on campus while going to school until you apply for an OPT.
Examination Structure
It's really good but depends on the different professors. It is usually multiple choice or it is online but different questions that it is not on quizlet. They used protorio in two of my psychology classes to prevent cheating.
Faculty
My professors are amazing in las Positas and most of them have their Ph.Ds. They are nice and willing to help you succeed. One of the psychology classes that I took was hard but the professor was nice. Not her workload though but overall I'm enjoying myself in Las Positas.
