It was the best value because I got a full scholarship/highest rank. Also when I visited I could imagine a high quality of life for myself due to the beautiful dorms and yummy food. It was big enough that I could meet new people every day if I wanted to but not big enough that I would feel lost.
Course Curriculum
I really like it, it doesn't feel restricting to me at all, and even in the "required" classes there is a lot of freedom into which ones you can take- i.e. any humanities, or cultural diversity class you want, and I love that it has pushed me to go out of my comfort zone while still choosing areas that are of interest to me.
Faculty
With 2 or 3 exceptions, I have actually thoroughly enjoyed all my faculty, both in the sciences and humanities, intro and upper-level. The administrators and guidance staff also have committed to getting to know students by "name and story", which is evident. They could use more diversity though.
Placement
For Premeds there is the infamous "WashU bump" which supposedly makes it easier to get into medical school with a lower GPA because medical schools know the rigour of our school. A lot of recruiters come to WashU as we are one of the top schools in the MidWest.
Accommodation
Exams
I took the SAT and scored 2180 with an ACT score of 33. I even scored AP Lang- 4; AP Stats- 4; AP Gov- 5; AP Calc AB- 4; AP French- 4; AP Macro- 4; AP Micro- 4; AP Psych- 5; APUSH- 3; AP Biology- 4

Examination Structure
Again depends a lot on what department you are in. Most of the intro level sciences and anthropology classes it's typically 3-4 exams and a final, and you have the option to drop one. No class at WashU is really easy like you really do have to work hard to get As.
