The location of this college was the main draw. It is near an amazing town with beautiful scenery and lots of things to do. I also liked the size of the school, the classes are small and the teachers are personable.
Course Curriculum
The course at Southern Oregon University was a great one. I took the public accounting route, which included an extra year worth of classes to prepare me for the CPA exam. I was also required to do a business plan as a capstone
Exams
I took the SAT in high school and received a grade of 1550. I did not take any other preparation exams
Placement
I received job offers from PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Frank Rimerman in San Francisco, and Moss Adams. There are other students who received offers from Crowe as well
Internship
I was required to find an internship on my own, and the school did not offer any kind of stipend toward that. I was lucky enough to find a paid internship at an Accounting firm and I had a fantastic time
Events
My school celebrated many holidays, including indigenous peoples day, queer day of remembrance, and other fun events. They also had many clubs that would put on events for their specific groups, including a French Dinner
Fees
The fees included tuition, books and online class fees. There were also student recreation fees and printing charges
Examination Structure
The school offered exams during the midterm and final weeks of the quarter. These exams were usually non-cumulative and covered a manageable number of chapters In the books. The exams were at specific times during the week based on class schedules
