Southern Oregon University Campus and Accommodation

Living on the campus while attending the institute gives an academically rich and socially supportive experience to the students. Southern Oregon University campus has different important academic buildings such as the Art Building, Ashland Street Cinema, Center for the Visual Arts at SOU, Center for the Visual Arts Galleries, Computer Sciences Building, Digital Media Center (DMC), ECOS Community Garden, Education/Psychology Building, etc.

Accommodation

SOU provides on-campus accommodation facilities for all students. The university provides on-campus facilities in its four residential halls namely Greensprings, Shasta, Mcloughlin and Madrid. Greensprings has four halls namely Crater Lake, Bear Creek, Applegate, and Deschutes. The four halls revolved around a large lounge. The laundry facilities are concentrated for the whole complex on the first floor.

  • Shasta Hall is a part of the Raider Village which highlights a semi-suite-style design with both single and double rooms accessible. This is fundamentally a first-year community, yet open to all students.
  • McLoughlin Hall includes a suite design with both single and double rooms accessible. Primarily a community for returning and transfer students, however, open for all students.

Overview

The location of this college was the main draw. It is near an amazing town with beautiful scenery and lots of things to do. I also liked the size of the school, the classes are small and the teachers are personable.
