Jenna Barnes Review at University Of North Carolina [UNC], Chapel Hill | Collegedunia

UNC Chapel Hill Review

JB
7.2 /10

It had a strong reputation for my major and was well known throughout the state. The name is very recognizable throughout the country and has held it?s reputation for a very long time period. The college was also close to home making it easy to visit family often and commute.

Course Curriculum :

Overall, I feel very good about my investment in UNC-Chapel Hill. The Course Curriculum has thus far met all of the expectations set. The information is interesting and intriguing to capture my attention.

Exams :

I took the SAT three times in December, June, and August. I also took the ACT twice during my junior year.

Placement :

From what I understand, UNC-Chapel seems to consistently provide its students with an abundance of job opportunities for current students and recent graduates. Most of the jobs are specific to the student's interest and are of good quality.

Internship :

While my UNC-Chapel Hill does provide internships to its students, I have not yet taken advantage of them. While I have heard very good things about them and the overall experience they provide seems to be especially beneficial, I have not yet at the time, fully committed to one specific long term internship.

Events :

One of the events celebrated in my college is black history month which allows students of African American descent to embrace their culture and truly express themselves. Homecoming is another popular event to get students excited for the upcoming season and demonstrate school spirit.

Fees :

My tuition was upfront when I applied and I now cover other fees such as food, books, and housing for myself.

Scholarship :

I have received one scholarship from my fathers work. The scholarship pays for $2,500 of my tuition each year I continue to attend.

Examination Structure :

Overall, the exam structure is very accommodating to students and fits their various needs and course requirements. Typically the schedule is very concise yet relatively easy to understand in reference to the student's needs.

Faculty :

I am overall highly impressed with the faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill. My overall experience has proved the staff to be very dedicated and committed to the work they do.

Hostel :

I lived in a dorm and share a room with one other student in my class. We each pay our portion of the costs and often share amenities. Other students also live in the building with similar dorm rooms to us.
