Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management)
30,867/Yr
We offer five undergraduate majors: consumer studies, fashion merchandising and design, property management, residential environments and design, and family and consumer sciences.
We provide award-winning advising that is personalized for each student. Our programs offer many active student learning opportunities including design studios, real-world projects, internships, study abroad, and undergraduate research. You can attend events to interact with industry professionals through study tours and on-campus visits by nationally recognized speakers.
Field studies or internships are an essential part of the preparation for your career. By participating in a field study, you apply the theory and knowledge you have learned in the classroom through hands-on experience in a professional setting. While working under the guidance of an experienced professional, you get a unique opportunity to learn about yourself, your clients, your organizations, and your environment. Site supervisors act as role models, providing direction so that you can both observe and participate in the work of the organization.
You will work with a faculty member to identify an internship site and they will mentor you throughout the 180 hours of hands-on training.
