The Curry School of Education is proud to offer a Master of Teaching (MT) degree with licensure and endorsement in Mathematics Education. We offer two programs: the B/MT (Five-year Program for Undergraduates) and the PG/MT (post-graduate program for those who have already completed an undergraduate degree).

B/MT Math (Five-year Program for Undergraduates)PG/MT Math (Pose-graduate program for those who have already completed an undergraduate degree)

In this program, you have the opportunity to earn a Baccalaureate degree in Math from the College of Arts and Sciences (BA) or Engineering Science (BS) from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and a Master of Teaching (MT) degree from the Curry School of Education. Degrees are awarded simultaneously at the end of the five-year program of studies. You earn licensure with endorsement in Mathematics, grades 6-12.

In this program, prospective graduate students who have an undergraduate degree in mathematics have the opportunity to earn a Master of Teaching (MT) degree from the Curry School of Education. This two-year program of study, though it is possible to accelerate the program, completing requirements in 1.5 years, allows you to earn licensure with endorsement in Mathematics, grades 6-12.

Both the B/MT and PG/MT programs allow for the addition of a second area of endorsement (e.g. Special Education, Gifted Education) to your program of studies. If interested in this option, seek permission from your advisor and the Office of Teacher Education. Completing two endorsements requires careful planning.
