Prudent managers also recognize the importance of data-based decision-making and an appreciation for the societal impacts of sport. The master’s curriculum emphasizes the practical application of knowledge in these areas as it relates to high school and collegiate athletic administration, as well as facility and event management.

Career Possibilities

The focus of this program is to prepare students for careers in athletic administration, and facility and event management. At the pinnacle of these industry segments exist career opportunities as athletic/associate athletic directors, tournament/event directors, and facility directors. Within each of these industry segments, skilled sport managers are needed in fields such as sales, development, corporate partnerships, finance, sport information, community relations, ticketing, booking and scheduling, event operations, ticketing, volunteer management, and event planning.


Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants should hold a baccalaureate degree (or higher) from a college or university.
  • Students should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more and have at least a B average in undergraduate course work 
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
  • Submission of GRE or GMAT scores is required.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
