As part of a liberal arts/social science degree, the criminology major provides an excellent background for post-baccalaureate studies. Our alums pursue graduate work in criminology or in related fields such as sociology, anthropology, political science, and psychology. In addition, the major provides a foundation for post-baccalaureate work in law, public policy, social work, business, and urban planning.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Acamedic Requirements:
- High school or secondary school official transcripts of the final four years (9 to 12) should be sent to Ohio State
- SAT or ACT scores should be submitted (Optional for 2023 admissions)
- Recommendation from a teacher or counsellor (optional)
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL (IBT): minimum 79 required
- IELTS or IELTS indicator: minimum 6.5 required
- ACT: minimum 21 score on the English section
- SAT: minimum 27 required on the reading section
- Duolingo: minimum 105 required
