Ohio State offers three tracks within the Bachelor of Music in Music Performance: orchestral instruments, piano and voice.
Possible careersStudents in music performance have a variety of career opportunities. Some graduates establish private studios for giving music lessons or perform professionally either as soloists or in groups as opportunities arise. Some take professional auditions or participate in performance competitions. Others pursue musical performance opportunities in armed forces bands, orchestras or choirs. Some graduates move into business and industry careers or other music-related careers, such as arts management.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Acamedic Requirements:
- High school or secondary school official transcripts of the final four years (9 to 12) should be sent to Ohio State
- SAT or ACT scores should be submitted (Optional for 2023 admissions)
- Recommendation from a teacher or counsellor (optional)
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL (IBT): minimum 79 required
- IELTS or IELTS indicator: minimum 6.5 required
- ACT: minimum 21 score on the English section
- SAT: minimum 27 required on the reading section
- Duolingo: minimum 105 required
