For all Texas Public Universities, ApplyTexas applications are required to be submitted for admission. The applications are accepted throughout the year for admission. The students can apply in the spring and fall semesters. The applications for admission are accepted from August 1. The application deadline for international applicants is given below:

The University of Texas (UTEP), a Graduate school accepts applications throughout the year. However, the deadlines may vary depending on the programs. The applicants can browse through specific course brochures to know about the application deadlines.

Application Portal: Like all other applicants, international applicants are also required to submit applications through ApplyTexas.

Aplication Fees: The application fees for undergraduate admission are 65 USD while that of graduate admissions is 80 USD.

Eligibility Criteria: International applicants must comply with the following requirements for admission to UTEP:

Official transcripts of High School and College along with a credential Evaluation. If documents are not in English, then a certified English translation of the same is mandatory.
English Language Proficiency Test sores. The tests accepted by UTEP are ACT and TOEFL, IELTS test scores are not accepted. Students should have minimum ELP test scores.
The students should have a minimum of 1070 SAT scores for admission.
The students must also provide evidence of adequate financial resources required to complete the program at UTEP.
The international applicants applying for Graduate admissions must create an account for admission here.
The students can complete the application and browse through the specific program eligibility that they should comply with.
For graduate admissions, the students may need to submit a personal statement, resume and two or three LOR depending on the program they are opting for.

English Language Proficiency Test Requirements

The UTEP does not accept IELTS scores. Test scores accepted by the University include TOEFL, PAA, PTE. The minimum test scores required are tabulated below:

Note:

If international applicants have taken a PAA test and scored a minimum score of 100 or Pearson Test of English (PTE) and scored a minimum score of 44, then they will be exempted from TOEFL test requirements.
International applicants can also take the SAT or ACT to demonstrate English Proficiency. A minimum score of 48- will be required in the reading section of SAT and 19 in the English Section of the ACT.

US Student Visa Requirements

International applicants who wish to study for a full-time program in the US will need a F-1 Visa.
The UTEP will issue I-20 which will allow students to apply for the F-1 Visa.
The students can apply for the I-20.
Once students have applied for I-20, they will receive the Student Information Form Approval email with further instructions.
The students must have a valid passport to receive an I-20 and upload a copy of the biographical page of the passport.
The students can pay for shipping and the I-20 will be shipped to them within 3 business days.
Post issuance of 1-20, the international students are required to pay the SEVIS fees which are 350 USD for F-1 students.
The students can then apply for an F-1 Visa and attend interviews at the US embassy.
The students should have the following documents at the interview:

Passport- The passport must remain valid at all times and if it is to expire during the course of studies, students must renew it 6 months prior

Applications to the undergraduate courses at University of Texas El Paso through ApplyTexas. The admission requirements for the same are as follows:

Submit Official transcripts, if the documents are not in English then they must be submitted with certified English Translation.
Submit Test scores. The international Applicants must submit either one of the following test scores.

Ans. There are several financial aid options available to international students including scholarships, tuition payment plans and emergency aid. Students can also work on campus. F-1 International students are eligible to work on campus up to 40 hours per week during summer and 19 hours per week when they have to attend classes. Ques. If I am a new student pursuing an online program from abroad, how many credits are needed to be enrolled in for the semester?

Ans. New students will not have an F-1 status or an Active SEVIS record, they have not required any minimum credit for immigration purposes. The international students can also contact their academic advisor to determine the appropriate schedule.

Ques. Can I apply after the deadline at UTEP?

Ans. The application deadline for the different programs varies. If the students are applying for a faculty-led program, then they must contact the faculty leader to comply with the deadlines. The deadline for the third-party program and Exchange program is March 1 for the Fall or summer semester abroad and October 1 for the spring semester abroad.
