The Department of Chemistry at the University of Evansville is proud to partner with the School of Education to offer the strong chemistry background needed to teach this subject at the high school level.Students interested in teaching chemistry can earn their degrees through the School of Education, with classes in chemistry to round out their specialty subject. Classroom observation and teaching practice begin during the first year and continues each year, culminating in a semester of student teaching during senior year.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school or of exit examination
- Students can submit SAT/ACT scores which is optional
- Students not submitting SAT/ACT scores need to submit an essay highlighting a book that had an influence, how university can contribute to the goals, an individual that had made an impact
- Students can also submit recommendation letters and personal statement
- Submit English Language Proficiency scores

- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 100
