- Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize the activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.
- A certified athletic trainer is a highly educated and skilled allied healthcare professional who specializes in caring for physically active individuals in a variety of settings. These settings may include secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports, hospitals, and industry. Whatever the setting, athletic trainers are recognized as part of a comprehensive sports medicine team and work alongside physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
