Students learn how to solve problems associated with interactions between living and non-living materials and systems. With the addition of an additional 4-credit general biology course, graduates will also meet the prerequisite requirements of most medical schools.
The mission of the B.S. Bioengineering degree program is to:
Deliver graduates with a high-quality education in engineering and the life and physical sciences who are well prepared for careers as valued contributors in the medical device, health care, biotechnology or medical fields, as well as for further graduate study and professional training
Provide an entrepreneurial, interdisciplinary, and service oriented environment and curriculum, and valuing diversity and professionalism in our field, and collaboration across the engineering, science, and medical disciplines
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants to the university must have completed 12 years of preparatory education
- Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a high school diploma
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must have a course by course evaluation from a NACES accredited agency
- Students with lower GPA need to meet the SAT (1450) and ACT (21) requirements
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 213 in CBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
