Upon successful completion of the Master of Science in Nursing degree, the graduate will:
- Create advanced nursing practice roles that merge from client needs.
- Exercise critical thinking to design and implement innovative approaches that are financially viable, culturally connected, evidence-based, and community partnered.
- Practice as caring scholar, advanced practice nurses who are singularly sensitive and critically reflective.
- Exhibit professional leadership by influencing policy processes aimed at improving global health.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must have a course by course evaluation from a NACES accredited agency
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4
- Provide evidence that the following courses have been completed at the undergraduate level with a grade of C or better, prior to admission: Statistics, Health Assessment, and Pathophysiology
- Provide evidence of current and unrestricted registered nurse’s license, or eligibility for RN licensure in Florida
- Provide evidence of a minimum of one year current practice experience as a registered nurse
- Submit a statement of career goals
- Submit a resume
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 213 in CBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
