The Dental Hygiene Program at The UTHealth School of Dentistry is part of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. ?UTSD is the only Houston-area school offering a?Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. We also have a distance education degree-completion program for dental hygienists who want to turn their certificates into bachelor's degrees.
Because UTSD offers graduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry and the dental specialties, our dental hygiene students become accustomed to working side-by-side with other members of the dental team. ?
Our goal is to offer?the model dental hygiene program for the 21st century. We are dedicated to advancing the health of the people of Texas, the nation and our global community. We educate compassionate healthcare professionals and innovative scientists.
