- Online Application – Students have to submit the online application by filling all necessary details.
- Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education.
- Official Transcript – Two certified transcripts mailed directly from the applicant's university. This includes all undergraduate and graduate work from all colleges or universities attended.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
- MSc in Software Engineering is a 2-year program at the University of Alabama.
- This program is offered jointly by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the College of Engineering and the Computer Science Department in the College of Science.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- Students must take a thesis option (24 hours plus a minimum of 6 thesis hours).
- Students with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department home must take at least 15 credit hours of computer engineering courses completed at UAH.
- The program is accredited by ABET.
- Engineering faculty members provide broad and vigorous research programs with excellent opportunities for thesis and dissertation work.

Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited agency like WES, SpanTran etc
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
