The challenging health science major is specifically designed to prepare highly motived students for successful admission into clinically focused graduate programs in healthcare. In the health science program, students explore various healthcare-related careers and enjoy a flexible curriculum that allows students to tailor their courses to meet their personal interests and the prerequisite requirements for a wide variety of graduate programs.
Students successfully completing this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate ethical, professional, collaborative, and culturally-sensitive behaviors within the healthcare setting
- Integrate knowledge and skills from natural, formal, and social sciences with healthcare fundamentals to solve complex problems and optimize health outcomes
- Locate, critically analyze, and apply data in a manner that supports evidence-based healthcare
- Communicate effectively with laypersons and healthcare professionals on a variety of health related topics
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit original copies of transcripts or marksheets from each secondary school or institution attended
- Transcripts in foreign language should be translated into English
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; minimum 79 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum score of 100
- MELAB: minimum score of 80
- PTE: minimum score of 53
- SAT: Evidence based writing and writing score of minimum 500
- ACT: minimum score of 19 in English
