The degree is not intended for students with degrees in health-related fields or for students who have earned AAS degrees in subject areas where articulation agreements with ETSU already exist. B.A.S. students, in conjunction with the B.A.S. advisor, design an individualized program of study that best meets the student’s needs for professional development and career enhancement. The program of study includes a professional development concentration which students may fulfill either by completing an ETSU minor or by completing 27 hours of related, advisor-approved courses. Students who have previously earned a four-year degree are not eligible to enroll in the B.A.S. program. Due to the unique nature of the B.A.S. degree, students may not double major.
What concentrations do B.A.S. students complete?Popular concentrations include Technology, Computer Science, and Criminal Justice.Students may choose any ETSU minor as a concentration or develop their own, individualizedconcentration in conjunction with their advisor. Students with A.A.S. degrees in business may not minor in a business area.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.3 on a scale of 4.0
- If student do not have the minimum required GPA of 2.3 then minimum score of 17 is required in ACT or SAT equivalent
- Submitting SAT or ACT score is optional
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 500 in PBT; minimum score of 61 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 55
- Duolingo: minimum score of 85
- ACT: minimum score of 19 in English and Reading
- SAT: minimum score of 500 in evidence based reading
