With one of the largest engineering communities in the country, our students have ample opportunities for hands-on experience and learn from faculty who are performing research at the forefront of their fields. Master's students are allowed to take credits in other fields, such as management, geosciences, etc. to encourage them to broaden their education beyond the civil engineering field. To accommodate part-time and working students, graduate classes are conducted in the evenings. There are three degree options for earning a master's in civil engineering: coursework only, project or thesis options.
