Students with a?major in at Rider University?develop a solid understanding of the use, design, development, and management of information systems and information technology.?
All of the?Information Systems?courses are designed to give students the opportunity to develop and manage a variety of projects that can be applied to real business settings immediately. Increasingly, organizations that seek individuals with an information systems specialization expect excellent organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills, in addition to excellent analytical skills. All Information Systems students are encouraged to participate in a full semester co-op or summer internship experiences during their junior year.
Learning objectives:
The department identifies the following three items as the key learning objectives for majors; goals one and two refer to students who take the core courses required by all business majors, while, goal three is specific to those students with a major or minor in?Information Systems:
- Through the required freshman-level?Information Systems?core course, Information Systems Essentials
- Through the required junior-level?Information Systems?core course, Management Information Systems
- Students with a major or a minor in Information Systems will be able to demonstrate their understanding of information technology by applying their technical knowledge and skills to provide a practical solution to a business problem, business need or business opportunity.?

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts, marksheets, grades of all previous secondary and post secondary education
- Transcripts must be translated in English and should contain the courses taken and grades received
- Submit essay on the topic requested in application
- Submit one letter of recommendation from an individual who can describe your academic potential
- SAT/ACT scores is not compulsory but can be submitted for consideration
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
