- Students are expected to have a strong quantitative background, including linear algebra, multivariate calculus, statistics, and probability.
- A GPA of 3.8 (A- average grade) on a 4.0 scale in the graduate school’s scale is required to be eligible for the program.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
