As a student within the program, you will continuously integrate theory with realistic, practical problem?solving experiences in local industrial settings. UW-Stout's program is nationally recognized by major corporations for promoting both the technical and managerial skills that align with the demands of a highly dynamic profession. In order to develop personal and professional skills that are deemed necessary to enter the risk control profession, the following major content areas are emphasized within the program:
- Broad technical base in employee safety/health, workplace design/engineering, regulatory compliance, risk finance; as well as public, property and environmental protection
- Strong management emphasis which promotes effective interface with all levels of an organization
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts from all previous college/university attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited evaluation agency
- Applicants must have a mininum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Submit a statement of intent that describes the candidates academic, professional goals, employment history etc.
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 in PBT; 79 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 120
- PTE: minimum 53
