Bachelor of Arts [B.A] (Forensics and Biomedical - Photography)
Field of Study:
$29,700/Yr
An integral part of this program is the invaluable six-month internship. This will give you first-hand experience working at the medical examiner's office, where you'll contribute to cases, prepare evidence, and work as a forensic photographer for Miami-Dade County.
Acceptance into the Biomedical and Forensic Photography specialization is not guaranteed. Photography majors must apply to the specialization, usually prior to the junior year of the program. Acceptance requires a combination of a successful interview and portfolio review with the Director of the Forensic Imaging Bureau of the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office, and successful completion of BIO 220 Human Anatomy and PHO 394 Biomedical and Forensic Practicum (a 3-credit on-site photography practicum taken during summer). It is recommended that this process be completed prior to the junior year.
