Housed at Luther Seminary in St. Anthony Park, just minutes from the main Augsburg College campus, ours was the first physician assistant program in the state. We have a proven track record of success ? graduates of our PA program consistently pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam at a rate that is higher than the national average.
Our proven faculty and dedicated staff strive to provide our students with the best PA education possible. Our goal is to help graduates obtain their license and begin work as quickly as possible.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must contain a course by course evaluation sent directly to graduate admissions from NACES accredited agency like WES, ECE, SpanTran
- Applicant must have completed the following coursework: 3-4 credits of physiology, microbiology, biochemistry and psychology; 1-3 credits of medical terminology
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Science GPA must be higher than 3.0
- Applicant must have completed 2000 hours of direct patient care
- Submit three letters of recommendation from health professionals and academic references
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 79 in iBT; 8.5+ in Essentials
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
- PTE: minimum score of 85
- Duolingo: minimum score of 100
