St. John's University Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduate Admission Programs are the body regulating the St. John’s admissions for undergraduates. Applicants may direct their doubts and queries to them regarding their application procedure. Following are the general guidelines for different bachelor’s programs.

Application Portal: St. John’s University Application or Common Application

Application Fee: There is no application fee for undergraduate applications

Following are the requirements for undergraduates:

• All official records
• Official standardized test scores
  • ACT/SAT
• English language proficiency scores
• Recommendations and Essays are not required however, recommended

Transfer Applicants: Transfer Student Services is the governing body for transfer admissions.

The completed application must have:

• Official or unofficial college transcripts.
• Official high school transcript.
• If there is a gap in education years, a "Statement of Activity" must be provided with the application.

St. John's University Graduate Admissions

A variety of options are available for pursuing graduate study at St. John’s University. General requirements for most master’s degree programs are similar.

Application Deadline: Students are advised to check with their desired programs for definite deadlines

• Official transcripts from all undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools attended. International applicants must submit a course-by-course academic transcript evaluation from a NACES approved provider.

The university accepts international students from around the globe and tries its best to provide them with a meaningful and comfortable stay. The International Student and Scholar Services Office assists international students and scholars with every aspect of life and learning in the US, whether it is applying for a US visa or a New York State driver’s license, or getting an I-20 or DS-2019.

The office’s mission is to facilitate compliance with federal regulations that govern the immigration status of international students and scholars at St. John’s University and enhance their experience in the United States.

The university accepts students through an early decision program which is a binding application plan through which students must enroll if admitted and withdraw all other applications. Students admitted through early decision must submit their nonrefundable enrollment deposit by January 15 to guarantee their place in the fall class at St. John’s.

Early action is a non-binding application plan. In this, students receive a decision earlier than the rolling decision. Students may apply to more than one institution through early action and have until May 1 to submit their nonrefundable enrollment deposit to secure their enrollment at St. John’s for the fall semester.
