During the The program at Christopher Newport University you'll have the opportunity, both in and outside of class, to understand what a working artist is by having your work reviewed, critiqued and exhibited.
Additionally, if you're interested in teaching art, you can continue your studies in the Master of Arts in Teaching Program.
After Graduation
Students with a studio art degree pursue careers in game design, animation, art therapy, fashion, graphic design, interior design, web design, film and photography, among other fields.
Art history majors go on to careers as art librarians, antique dealers, art preparators, archivists, museum curators and educators, as well as jobs in publishing, teaching and research.

Academic Requirements:

- Submit teacher evaluations in core subjects like English, Social Studies, foreign language, Mathematics or Science
