In fulfillment of this mission, the program educate the general Oklahoma City University student population to become scientifically literate citizens, provide strong and effective curriculums to undergraduate physics majors in order to prepare them for graduate school, and provide helpful advice to students in their career choice as mathematicians, physicists, and engineers.

The OKCU Mathematics and Physics departments strive to maintain the highest standards of teaching and to offer programs of choice in the region that have a reputation for the graduates' success.

In our modern, fast changing and highly demanding world, one undergraduate college degree is often not sufficient to succeed in the professional world after graduation.
