Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Emergency Management)

The BSEM degree is a 120 credit hour program, requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to graduate. The core curriculum for the Emergency Management degree consists of 30 credit hours in Emergency Management as well as, two 15 credit hour concentration areas with a minimum of 9 upper level credit hours in each. Grades of C- or better are required in the 60 core hours.
The program is intended to academically prepare students for employment in the public sector at the local, state, or federal level of government in numerous agencies, as well as certain nonprofit and private organizations performing emergency planning, mitigation, response, recovery, and prevention. Students will gain a thorough understanding of interagency cooperation, coordination, and communication as well as administrative issues involving policies and procedures, labor relations, and fiscal matters.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicant must meet one of the following criteria:Rank in the upper one-half of their graduating high school clas Or ACT composite score of 20 or higher or SAT equivalent Or a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
