Students in SLU’s nutrition and dietetics master’s program choose from three concentrations. You can also choose to pursue a dual degree with a Master of Science in nutrition and dietetics and a Master of Public Health.
Program highlights
SLU’s graduate nutrition and dietetics curriculum builds upon a strong foundation in the sciences and includes unique aspects such as the investigation of nutrition topics in the media, the study of ethnic meal patterns and hands-on exposure in clinical, culinary and management settings. Courses include classroom, lab and community experiences. Studying abroad is possible for students through planning with their academic advisers.
Careers
After graduating with a master’s in nutrition and dietetics, you can work as a chef/certified culinarian, consultant or registered dietitian.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of previous education evaluated by ECE or WCE
- Three letters of recommendation; one professional and two academic
- GRE score is optional
- Resume
- Professional statement describing personal interests, study goals and personal attributes
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- Pearson: minimum 54
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in IBT, 550 in PBT
