Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Forensic Science] From Saint Louis University

SLU's forensic science students learn about science, mathematics and medicine, and their interaction with the law. The courses provide an understanding of how these fields come together not only in civil and criminal law but also when investigating accidents, natural and manmade disasters, and historical and archaeological evaluations.

Offered through SLU's Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the forensic science major follows the guidelines for accreditation standards of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, enabling graduates to compete on a national and global level. The program requires 77 credit hours divided among the science and social science disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, sociology and anthropology.

Fieldwork experience is required for forensic science majors, giving you the opportunity to be involved in laboratories, law enforcement agencies and legal and medical organizations in St. Louis.
