Health Law
SLU?s Master of Laws in health law is a one-year program that was created for two types of lawyers: those seeking an in-depth introduction to the practice of health law and those who have a health law background but who are seeking exposure to new developments in health law.
This highly selective program allows each student individual attention and close faculty supervision. LL.M. students at SLU are encouraged to complete scholarly writing, attend the health law colloquia and participate in directed research projects. You may choose from a range of foundational and specialized health law and policy courses and learn from faculty with more than 177 years of collective health law teaching experience. LL.M. students are also offered externship opportunities including the ?Health Law Semester? in Washington, D.C.
LL.M. for Foreign Lawyers
This one-year master's degree for foreign law graduates provides an introduction to U.S. law. The main feature of the LL.M. program for foreign lawyers is its attention to the individual needs of its students. Each LL.M. student is partnered with a faculty member who provides guidance on class selection and professional goals. Students also receive intensive academic support services and assistance in locating housing and orienting to the SLU LAW community.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of previous education
- LSAT scores
- Two letters of recommendation assessing the intellectual ability, motivation, character and academics
- Resume
- Personal statement which should depict the applicants writing ability and character
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- Pearson: minimum 54
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in IBT, 550 in PBT
