Master of Arts [M.A] [Education, Concentration in Counseling and Student Personnel] From San Jose State University

In addition to a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Counseling and Student Personnel, we offer a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Counseling (with the option of Child Welfare & Attendance specialty) that qualifies individuals to work as guidance counselors in K-12 schools. Our faculty work closely with degree candidates to build effective assessment and counseling skills, nurture reflective thinking, and develop inter-cultural skills and social justice commitments. Our graduates are prepared to facilitate students' personal and educational success and lifelong learning in an increasingly complex, technologically advanced, and globally interdependent world.
