We offer two track options in forensic science – a concentration in biology or a concentration in chemistry. Both are designed for students interested in careers working in forensic laboratories, medical professions and also as preparation for graduate studies. The program combines a strong background in the physical sciences with the real life aspects of forensic science.

The median annual salary for a forensic scientist is $56,750. Forensic scientists employed by federal agencies typically earn higher salaries than those employed by state and local agencies.
Training Requirements to become a Forensic Scientist: bachelor’s degree in a laboratory-based scientific discipline is needed, with a strong background in physics, math, and chemistry being especially important. This background will also enable graduates to enter science fields other than forensic science or to pursue graduate studies in areas of biology or chemistry.
