Through their studies and internships in the MEM Program, students develop a thorough understanding of the interrelationships among the different areas of a manufacturing enterprise. An integrated education provides a competitive advantage in the manufacturing arena, in which applications of subject matter from business and engineering are equally important.
Professional Opportunities
Upon graduation, UConn MEM students are able to immediately contribute to continuous improvement of the firms in which they are employed: MEM graduates are prepared to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality and customer service. Our graduates’ educational backgrounds enable them to participate in the evaluation, design and implementation of new technologies for years to come. As their careers advance, graduates of UConn’s MEM Program will be well prepared to move into management positions within their manufacturing organizations.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Official high school transcripts including students’ senior classes, class rank (if applicable), and latest grades earned.
- UConn requires official SAT or ACT scores.
- SAT scores are made optional beginning with students applying for Spring 2021 entry and continuing through the next two admissions cycles.
- International applicants whose primary language is not English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
